NIRAI is dedicated to serving, resourcing, and collaborating with grassroots initiatives by and for Indigenous Ryukyuans, both on the home islands in the Ryukyu Archipelago and in the diaspora. Our mission is to create a bridge between our communities, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared histories and identities, and supporting efforts to celebrate, preserve, and revitalize our cultural heritage for future generations. We are committed to empowering creative and Indigenous rights-led initiatives and promoting environmental stewardship to ensure a thriving and sustainable environment for all Ryukyu people.
